Nuraghe Santu Antine, also known as the "House of the King" (Sa Domu de su Re), is situated in the Cabu Abbas plain near Torralba. Dating to the Middle Bronze Age (circa 16th–12th century BC), it is one of the most sophisticated examples of prehistoric architecture in Europe.
Constructed using massive basalt blocks without mortar, the complex has a central tower (mastio) that rises to a height of 17.5 metres (57.4 feet) and contains two intact tholos (dome) chambers. The tower is surrounded by a triangular bastion with three smaller towers, connected by complex upper-level corridors and stone staircases. The structure's builders aligned its corridors to catch key solar and lunar solstices.
The site is open daily with on-site ticket sales. Bookings are optional, though recommended during summer weekends.
